How can I change a particular setting on internet explorer?

you know when you start typing text into a search or something and it automatically remembers what you typed in previously and the word shows up, how can i stop that from happening? for example i entered my social security number into progressive and when i went back to progressive to type it in again it already recognized what i was going to type and i don't like that, how can i change it

if you have internet explorer 7, then to go TOOLS menu, CONTENT tab, click on the SETTINGS button in the AUTOCOMPLETE area and un-click all the things you don't want to remember.

Uncheck the box for %26quot;Remember what I enter in forms and the search bar%26quot;
delete your cookies.



go to tools - internet options - history delete history, cookies, forms and passwords.
