i have two names on my passport and citizenship certificate, but only one on my s.s card. now i have problem applying for financial aid because i used the name that's NOT on my s.s card, now they say that my name doesn't match my s.s number...
what can i do to change my name on my s.s card? i went to SSA but they say that my other name(not on the s.s) is not legal...and i need a note from the offcial who allowed me to have two names on my citizenship certificate.

GO TO THE SS OFFICE AND TAKE YOUR LEGAL PAPERS FOR YOUR NAME CHANGE AND THEY'LL TAKE CARE OF IT FOR YOU. NO PROBLEMS.

why didn't u use ur real name for ur passport and citizenship certificate? u always have to use the name on ur social security card, unless u are married or divorced and filed for a name change with the proper papers...
