How can I file for child support without the father's social security number?

I had a short relationship with a man and I became pregnant. Now, he denies paternity and I am trying to file for child support in Texas. I filed with his address, phone number, work address, date of birth, and I was contacted by the state and told that my case was closed due to lack of information on the father, they said they needed his social security number. Of course, he won%26#039;t give it to me, cause he does not want to have to pay. What can I do? Should I contact a lawyer, or will they need his social also? Also, he has moved once and changed phone numbers twice trying to avoid me. Can%26#039;t they get his social form his work? Thanks for the answers, and if you say something stupid I will report you.|||WHAT ???? !!!! thats not true (it cant be), you dont HAVE to have the SS to drag him into court. if that were true, you%26#039;d need the SS of people who assault you too... to file against them.

how do they EXPECT a potential father to willingly GIVE IT TO A PREGGERS GF????

i would write your states Attorney General, your states Governor and your states Regional FEDERAL Child Support Office.

tell them about this, exactly what you said here. keep it short. its more effective that way. ask them what i asked too... and ask them how this is possible? ask why he is not forced to come to court and give that info himself. ask how any mother is supposed to get that info willingly. ask what they can do about it.

one more thing, FAX that ONE letter to all of them. phone calls are useless, mail ends up in a pile, but FAXES are effective. if you hear nothing, fax it again. fax it weekly if need be. the squeaky wheel gets the oil, dont forget that.

when you click on your states Regional FEDERAL Child Support Office, you will see the fax number on the right hand side. if ever you cant find a fax number (most are listed online), just call and ask for it.

links; just click on your state and find the section you need.

http://www.irs.gov/compliance/enforcemen鈥?/a>|||im in england bit i think a lawyer mite help this is the case here and every dad should pay for there kid|||your county child support enforcement agency should be able to help you. i would think most women don%26#039;t know the fathers SS number. i don%26#039;t know why someone from the state would say that, unless it is laziness. there seems to be some strange child support questions from texas here.|||contact your local attorney generals office.all you need is a name and 25.00fee they will do the rest .trust me ,they did it to me.|||You got a lazy worker. I%26#039;ve spent the last 10 years chasing down deadbeat parents. (Both mothers and fathers). Most of which did not start out with a Social Security number.|||It may do you some good to have a private investigator who can get this info for you be paid for his services. They subscribe to websites to help them obtain personal info on people. Including SS numbers. It shouldn%26#039;t cost all that much.|||Try the sites below on this topic. Make sure to change the location/state in which you reside (TX).|||just claim you don%26#039;t know who the dad is and the state will pay
